Celtel donates 10kva generator to Radio Bintumani Kabala

In keeping in line with its corporate Strap line ‘Making Life Better’ Celtel on Friday 23rd of March 2007 donated a 10KVA Generator to Radio Bintumani in Kabala. The radio station which happens to be the only one in Koinadugu district have been in dire need of a generator and Celtel’s donation was seen as timely and as a meaningful contribution towards community development. Paramount Chief of Wara Wara Chiefdom PC Alhaji Manso Yembeh Mansaray expressed his happiness and gratitude as Celtel placed Kabala on the global map of telecommunication.

Managing Director Celtel Sierra Leone Ted Sauti-Phiri said that he was very happy to hand over the generator to the Kabala people as a way of saying thank you to them for their support since the network was launched in that area. He said that Radio Bintumani plays an important role in community and therefore he believes that the donation is in line with the company’s vision of ‘Making Life Better’.

The station Manager Umaru Jorgor Barrie thanked Celtel for rescuing the station at a time when the station was desperately in need of a generator and promised that the generator will be properly maintained as they contribute towards national development. A Sales outreach and Bomba tariff promotion climaxed the occasion.
