Celtel launches in Gbangbatoke

TOn Monday 19th June Gbangbatoke in the Moyamba District also joined the ‘global village’ courtesy of Celtel SL. Speaking at the ceremony the Paramount Chief of Gbangbatoke Lower Banta Chiefdom PC. Edgar Margai said that everybody should go tell the nation that Gbangbatoke has joined the ‘Global Village’ and that Celtel has arrived. He also thanked Celtel for putting Gbangbatoke on the map and described it as an historical occasion.

The Marketing Director Bernard Sisay thanked the Paramount Chief and his people for accepting Celtel in their midst. He emphasized that Celtel is the best mobile company operating in the country in terms of coverage, reliability, affordability and quality.

This was a dual ceremony as Celtel was not only launching its network in Gbangbatoke, but also presented football kits and garden tools worth Millions of Leones to the youths of Moyamba District. The Marketing Director said that the Moyamba District team will now be better equipped because of the football kits that they have received from Celtel.

Chairman of Moyamba District Council Mr. David Woobay expressed thanks on behalf of the council for the gifts which he said will inspire youths to engage in welfare and community development activities. He also said that the tools will benefit them in terms of gardening and admonished the youths to use them well. This launch of Celtel network and gifts to the Gbangbatoke community all served as a means of keeping to our promise of ‘‘Making Life Better’’.
