Celtel commercial launch in Mattru Jong.

Celtel (SL) Limited continued with its stride of extensive national coverage, by welcoming the residents of Mattru Jong to the Celtel network on Friday March 24, 2006.

The launch that took place at the Mattru Jong Community Rehabilitation Centre was graced by the Minister for Local Government Mr. Sidikie Brimah. In his statement, he said that the people of Mattru liked progress and this is evident in the fact that every time he visits the area there is a difference in development, with structures coming up. He also recalled that he was the Minister of Communication in 2001 when Celtel started moving around the country. He pointed out that the expansion of the Celtel network is all part of the benefits people are enjoying after the war.

All the other speakers at the occasion thanked Celtel management for making Mattru Jong part of the global village, and underscored the way development will be enhanced in the area through the use of fast and reliable communication.

On behalf of the Celtel entourage, the Managing Director JY Kouassi-Goly welcomed all the residents of Mattru Jong to the world of modern telecommunication and assured them that Celtel will continue to be a good social corporate citizen by partnering with the government in making the lives of many Sierra Leoneans better.
