18th November 2005. 1st Trolley dash

On the 18th of November 2006 Celtel’s first weekly trolley dash was held at St Mary’s Supermarket Wilkinson road. The first five winners from the first raffle draw held on the 11th November took part in the trolley dash held at St Mary’s Supermarket Wilkinson Road.

In his welcome statement the Technical Director Basilio Sadindi encouraged people that have not joined the Celtel network to grasp this golden opportunity that is being offered them by buying a sim for only Le 5000 and stand a chance of winning 1minute trolley dash in a supermarket. He also encouraged those that have not won to keep topping up as they still stand a chance of winning. Fatmata Samura, Francis Sandi, Captain Momoh, Julius Lissa and Ibrahim Kpaka all five collected items that amounted to the tune of Le 9,909,800 from the supermarket.

The star of the dash was Julius Lissa who collected mainly alcoholic drinks worth over Le 4,000,000 which was by far the highest amount of items collected by all the five winners. Other items collected were cooking items, provisions and cosmetics.
