Kissy shop opening













Thursday 16th February 2006 was a day to be remembered in the East End of Freetown where Celtel opened its shop. The Sales and Distribution Director Salia Gbane welcomed everyone to the new shop and thanked all present for sharing the event with Celtel. He stressed on Celtel’s commitment to giving its customers satisfaction and that the shop is just a manifestation of its commitment in delivering all its products and services and to be closer to its subscriber. He also commend all Dealers for taking Celtel products and services to other areas of the country despite all odds.

The Minister of Transport and Communication Dr. Prince Harding in his statement thanked Celtel for this initiative. He noted that despite the economic situation of the country in term of telecoms, Sierra Leone was amongst the forerunners in the sub region and this is due to Celtel’s effort in Making Life Better for the people of this country, he also noted that Celtel contributed greatly to the national revenue of the country through taxes and royalties. He described Celtel as a success story and is proud to be associated with the company’s success.

To climax the occasion was the cutting of the tape which was done by the Honorable Minister and a performance by a local artist Manzu avec C-Bolt of ‘Cam insai’ fame.
