Celtel in Sierra Leone's management team is drawn form the brightest talent at leading telecommunications and service companies.

Ted Sauti-Phiri (ACA): Managing Director

Ted, prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Celtel Sierra Leone, worked as Finance Director of Celtel Malawi and Celtel Zambia. His first job was as trainee accountant at Southern Bottlers Limited (SBL) Malawi in 1986. Then in 1990 he became chief accountant of Malawi’s Portland Cement Company, and he joined Celtel Malawi as Finance Director in 1999. He was involved in the setting up of the company and also served as the first company secretary.

Anthony Mwangi Theuri, BSc Physics and Computer Science : Director, Information Technology

Tony holds a degree in physics and computer science from the University of Nairobi in Kenya. He has held key positions in various telecommunication organizations in Africa including Telkom Kenya, Africa Onlime, Safari-com, Quest Technologies and the National Museums of Kenya in capacities ranging from Technical Manager to General Manager. Tony is a member of CIDOC, AFRICOM, TESPOK and EAIA.

Basilio Sadindi, MBA Business Management : Director, Technical Operations

Basilio Sadindi is a native of Zimbabwe and has spent the last six years with Celtel in DRC and Congo Brazzaville. Basilio is a Telecommunications Engineer with an MBA in Business Management and a member of the IEEE. His past experience included many years of service with LM Ericsson.

Bernard Sisay, BA Hons, MSc International Marketing: Director, Marketing and Customer Care

Bernard joined Celtel (SL) Ltd in November 2003 as Marketing Manager after returning home from the UK. He held a number of Sales and Marketing positions in both the Royal Mail and British Telecom where his last post was Channel Marketing Manager.

Keith Geofrey Tukei, MA HDM DipM MCIM Chartered Marketer: Sales and Distribution Director

Keith began his career with Century bottling company Uganda. Within the company he held roles as Sales Manager, Key Accounts Manager, and Sales Training Manager with primary focus of equipping the entire sales staff with new skills. Having pioneered and implemented a successful distribution model in East Africa, Keith was relocated to assignments in South East Asia in 2004 – and his last appointment prior to joining Celtel was in a consultancy role in another subsidiary of SABCO – BevServ international working with Coca-Cola bottlers for the south of Thailand.

Chris Krupski, BA (Hons), ACA: Director, Finance

Chris is a Chartered Accountant, who has worked in the UK, Central Europe and Japan as an FD for blue-chip companies such as GlaxoSmithkline and Alstom. He joined us from Celtel Malawi where he had been Finance Director and prior to that he worked for Celtel Democratic Republic of Congo for one year.

Olufela Adeyemi, MA Intl Law and Diplomacy – Director, Human Resources and Administration

Fela is a Nigerian who holds a bachelors degree in Russian, and Master of International Law and Diplomacy. She joins us with over twelve year’s world-class experience in HR and Management, from blue chip international companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers and Hoechst Pharmaceuticals.
